Steve Ovadia aka ''The Jew'' was shot and killed yesterday in the parking lot of a kindergarten in a small shopping plaza on Samson Bldv in Laval, Quebec, Canada. At 8h00, Laval police officers rushed to the location of the shooting only to find one victim suffering gunshot wounds. Early newscast footage show the body of Ovadia laying behind a black SUV parked meters away from the front door of a kindergarten. Since then, homicide investigators have setup a command post and covered at least one vehicle and the body with large forensic identification tents to protect evidence. Two large vehicles from the Laval police have also been dispatched and were parked at the scene to conduct what is going to be a high profile investigation. Among other news outlets, TVA is reporting that the victim is Steve Ovadia also well known in the organised crime community as ''The Jew'' but this information has yet to be confirmed by the police. Ovadia had been arrested back in 2016 only to be released without being charged following a raid conducted by the ERM (Escouade Regionale Mixe) in Laval. The ERM was coming down at the time on multiple people suspected to be tied with the mafia and a series of arson fires in and around Montreal.

À 20h00 les policiers de Laval ont répondu à un appel de coups de feu, durant lequel ils ont découvert un patient souffrant de blessûres par balle. Des images tôt sur scène d'autres média montrent le corps d'Ovadia gisant au sol couvert d'une couverte de paramédics. Depuis, des tentes ont été érrigées par dessus au moins une voiture et vraissemblablement le corps de la victime. Deux véhicules spécialisés agissent comme poste de commande dans ce qui s'annonce une investigation à haut profile. Entre autre, TVA rapporte que la victime est Steve Ovadia, surnommé "The Jew" dans le milieu du crime organisé mais l'information n'a pas encore été confirmée par la police. Ovadia avait été arrêté puis relâché en 2016 après une saisie faite par la ERM (Escouade Régionale Mixe) à Laval. La ERM avait comme mandat d'investiguer les suspects d'une séries d'incendies criminels dans la région de Montréal.
